Absolutely. Most people aren’t used to being in front of a professional camera, so feeling a little unsure at first is completely normal.

I’ll guide you throughout the shoot with posing, posture, expression and where to look, while keeping things relaxed and natural. We’ll also review images as we go, so you can see what’s working and become more comfortable as the session progresses.

You don’t need to know how to pose — that’s part of my job.

For most shoots, a proofing gallery will be available within 7 days. Once you’ve selected your favourite images, your final professionally retouched photographs will typically be delivered within a further 7 days.

Timelines may vary depending on the size and complexity of the project, and I’ll always confirm the expected delivery schedule in advance. If you have a specific deadline, just let me know when booking and I’ll do my best to accommodate it.

For headshots, portraits and family sessions, simple, well-fitting clothing usually works best. Solid colours photograph well, while very busy patterns, large logos and distracting graphics are generally best avoided.

Headshots
Choose clothing that reflects how you normally present yourself professionally and makes you feel confident. A jacket or blazer can be useful to bring, along with a couple of different tops, giving us options for both formal and more relaxed images. Neutral tones work well, but don't be afraid of colour if it's something you normally wear.

Portraits
Portrait sessions allow for more personality and creativity. Think about colours, textures and clothing that reflect your individual style and the kind of images you want to create. Bringing a few options, layers or accessories gives us more flexibility during the shoot. For creative portraits, we can also discuss wardrobe and styling beforehand to make sure everything works with the concept, background and lighting.

Family Portraits
For family shoots, aim to coordinate rather than have everyone dressed exactly the same. Choose a small palette of complementary colours and let each person wear something that suits their individual style. Neutral and earthy tones, soft colours and simple textures tend to work particularly well.

Try to avoid large logos, very busy patterns or one person's outfit dominating the group. Most importantly, everyone — especially children — should feel comfortable in what they're wearing. If you're unsure, you're welcome to send me some outfit ideas before the shoot and I can help you choose.

Yes. All final selected photographs are professionally retouched before delivery. This includes adjustments to colour, exposure and contrast, along with careful skin retouching and the removal of temporary blemishes or distractions where appropriate.

My approach is to keep retouching natural — the aim is for you to look your best while still looking like yourself.

RAW files are not included. They are unfinished working files and are an important part of the photographic and editing process.

You will receive your selected images as professionally retouched, high-resolution files, ready for their intended use. This ensures that every photograph delivered represents the quality and finished style of my work.
